What Is the Forbidden Fruit Marijuana Strain?

Classified as an indica with some elements of a sativa profile, this marijuana ranks in at a 70% indica and 30% sativa ratio, offering the best of both worlds to its consumers. Not only presenting massive yields, Forbidden Fruit brings another attractive offer to the table – its THC content is potent and strong, with lab results expressing a 23-27% amount on average.

Le Fruit Defendu is the genetic crossing of two parent strains; Cherry Pie hybrid and Tangie sativa. It is recognized as being immensely medicinal, making it suitable especially for those looking for some sort of medical relief with the aid of all-natural marijuana. All around Forbidden Fruit is a gorgeous strain; with a delectable flavor profile, pleasant aroma, beautiful physical appearance and brilliant mind/body effects.

Forbidden Fruit Strain Review: Aroma, Flavor and Appearance

The immediate scent of Forbidden Fruit once you crack open the bag or jar is pleasantly overwhelming, filling up the space with notes of floral and fruity drifts. The scent lures you in, encouraging you to give it a taste. From the first light, you’ll fall in love with the flavor.

It is of course fruity (as the name implies) but the profile offers something additional and distinctive. Underneath the fruit are hints of floral and earth, followed by moments of lemony-like citrus, that blend with something almost nutty, or chestnut-like in flavor.

To say that the taste profile of Forbidden Fruit is complex, would be an understatement, but the way in which all of its various notes blend together is eloquent and not overwhelming by any means.

| Sometimes complex can be a good thing, and Forbidden Fruit weed definitely proves this statement to be true.

Appearance-wise, Le Fruit Defendu can simply be described as stunning. The buds are bright and delicate, with a variety of colors and shades, ranging from purple to orange, to blue and pink. The buds are dense and thick with a hefty layer of frosty, crystalline coating that expresses the potency of the high and just how heavily the experience can creep up on you, (in a good way, of course).

There are some brassy orange curly hairs known as pistils, mixed throughout the sugar leaves themselves, but they are more seldom on this strain than some others. This cannabis is somewhat reminiscent to the famous Fruity Pebbles strain, mostly because of its bright colors and lively impression.

The Forbidden Fruit Marijuana Strain Grow Info

Le Fruit Defendu is relatively simple to grow, but is best cultivated where light can be controlled or in an ideal outdoor climate. It does not seem to have many issues with diseases, pests, mold or mildew, so the crop is low maintenance, as much as marijuana can be.

It grows quite quickly as well, with a flowering period of around 7-9 weeks. Most of the seeds available for purchase are auto-flowering, meaning that a specific light cycle known as 12/12 needs to be followed for the buds to properly develop. Indoors, a space with adequate ventilation and air circulation is vital, as well as a location with moderate humidity and a climate around room temperature.

Outdoors, Forbidden Fruit grows in a moderate climate, but can also thrive in drier regions with plenty of sun, such as Napa Valley. Once the buds begin to flower, however, it is so vital to switch to the 12/12 light cycle, because this will truly give the crops the push they need to flourish with tasty, well-developed product.

The average yield for Le Fruit Defendu, is around 15 ounces per meter squared indoors, and about 15 ounces per plant outdoors. For those searching for a tasty, simple to grow crop, Forbidden Fruit is a brilliant option.

Forbidden Fruit Strain Review: Effects on the Mind

The overall effects of Forbidden Fruit are relaxing and euphoric, causing even the most tense and uptight individuals to release for a little while. The high creeps up quickly, and before you know it, you might begin to experience the heady and blissful effects of this cannabis.

Mentally, Le Fruit Defendu can melt away worries and concerns, allow you to smile, giggle and be present in the moment. The future seems far away with the strain, and becomes something not of concern, as the past also starts to become a blur, placing the consumer into a now-like meditative state.

| Happiness and contentment will fall upon your face and within your energy, leaving you with joy in your heart.

The mental and body bliss and relaxation soon blends into a potent and stoney high, with a buzz that begins strong and slowly decreases into a sleepy intoxication, much as a sedative can do, all while keeping the mood uplifted.

For some, this marijuana strain can create couch-lock and make you not want to get up if you’re already comfortable. Because of these effects, Forbidden Fruit is a strain best consumed during the later hours of the evening or night, or even on a day off from work. If consumed too early in the day, Forbidden Fruit might drag down your energy levels, and definitely should not act as a replacement to a morning cup of coffee.

Potential Medical Benefits of the Marijuana Strain Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit is essentially the epitome of a medicinal marijuana strain; it is able to assist in the healing process for a multitude of medical conditions, far beyond simply the ones we will discuss in this section. This marijuana strain encourages relief for both the mind and body, alleviating some of the debilitating aspects of:

For those who are desiring relief from a mental or mood disorder, monitoring the amount you are consuming is important, and it is best to stick with low to average doses, so that you can be rest assured that no anxiety or unnecessary paranoia might occur.

Knowing your limits and sticking to them is vital for having a pleasant, beneficial experience with cannabis. Physical conditions, on the other hand, typically require a greater dose of cannabis. Edibles, concentrates, extracts and candies, are all methods of consumption that offer a way to receive more medical marijuana with less of the actual act of consuming required.

Possible Negative Side Effects of Forbidden Fruit

There are no known reported negative side effects from Forbidden Fruit, but that does not mean that some individuals won’t still have a negative experience. Dry mouth (cottonmouth) and dry eyes are typical with most marijuana strains, and this can occur with Forbidden Fruit as well.

Dry mouth can be solved or decreased by drinking plenty of fluids and staying hydrating. Be sure to keep a bottle of water near by, just in case the strain creates some couch-lock, so you won’t have any excuses for not getting up to pour yourself a glass.

Dry eyes can be managed with a little extra preparation and planning. Moisturizing eye drops can be purchased from a local drug store for an inexpensive price, and they’ll help to lessen any redness or irritation. In the most serious of circumstances, THC-induced anxiety or paranoia can happen, but this is with any marijuana strain that contains a potent quantity of this high-inducing chemical, so it shouldn’t be of concern, especially if you are aware of your own personal reactions to cannabis.

    Sometimes go overdose

As you mentioned above, forbidden fruit is a great strain, but that is something like only okay when taken well within limits. If you exceed it too much, it tends to negative your mood further. I have tried this personally, and it so happens all the time with me, because sometimes I am not able to restrict myself and I go overdose.

    For depression

If you have a family member suffering from severe depression, try this strain. About the dose, you will have to microdose, but the results are pretty quick and commendable in depression patients. I am working as a nurse in a physician’s clinic, and have prescribed this to a number of visitors off the shelf.
