The CBD oil market is one of the fastest growing industries in the UK. According to a study from the Cannabis Trades Association, in fact, the number of CBD oil users in the United Kingdom doubled in 2017; from 125,000 users in 2016 to roughly 250,000 last year.
This enormous growth in the industry is not surprising given that the British Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) reclassified CBD as a medicine back in January 2017.
There is currently some confusion in terms of legality, however, as according to government regulations any CBD product sold as a medicine must carry a product license, or what’s known legislatively as “marketing authorisation.”
However, quality CBD oil in the UK is still being sold by dozens of companies both online and on the High Street, as they are advertising/labeling the products as “nutrition additives” and “food supplements,” rather than actual medicines.
Customers are currently purchasing CBD oil, CBD vape oil, topicals, capsules, and edibles in the United Kingdom, as long as the they have been sourced from industrial hemp (which contains less than 0.3% THC), and have not been marketed/advertised as medicine.
This significant growth in the UK industry naturally means there are more CBD sellers than ever before. In this article, however, we have narrowed the current selection down to the top 10 brands based on quality, safety, effectiveness, and overall value for the money.
Reviews of the Best CBD Oils in the UK
1 –Love Hemp: Veterans in CBD Oils in the UK
Love Hemp claims to be the “finest purveyor of CBD oils in the UK.” Its slogan is ‘Just Hemp and Love,’ and it is known for the high quality of its products and, surprisingly, its packaging.
This is a London-based organization founded back in 2015, with a goal to provide customers in the UK, Europe, and the United States with high-quality, full spectrum cannabinoid extracts from genetically-selected hemp strains. Despite the name ‘Love Hemp,’ you will find their products online at cbdoilsuk.com.
The Love Hemp CBD Oil Range
Love Hemp UK sells its CBD oil in four strengths:
- 800mg 8%: £49.99
- 2000mg 20%: £129.99
- 4000mg 40%: £269.99
- 10000mg 10%: £399.99
From our research online, the brand’s 40% offering is one of the strongest CBD oils available in the United Kingdom. According to Love Hemp Ltd, it uses medical grade CO2 as part of its super critical extraction process, which basically means you don’t have to worry about solvents, pesticides or any other chemicals.
Moreover, the Love Hemp process replicates the natural and balanced phytochemical process of any original hemp cultivars.
We were impressed by the fact that Love Hemp managed to create a 40% CBD oil without including illegal amounts of THC. And more importantly, it has the third-party lab testing results to prove it.
Three of the options come in a 10ml bottle, while the 10,000mg version comes in a 100ml bottle. If you consume just 1ml of the 40% version, you are consuming a truly whopping 400mg of CBD. At £269.99 a bottle, though, it doesn’t come cheap.
In terms of whether or not Love Hemp CBD oil will help with you and your particular illness, the brand claims that all of their products are sold as “food supplements to help promote everyday wellbeing,” and that none of them are intended to “diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.”
Does Love Hemp Sell Other Products?
Absolutely! You can purchase Love Hemp Gummy Bears, capsules, 99% crystal isolate, liquid terpenes, e-liquid, and even clothing.
The Love Hemp CBD water range is also extremely popular, with 500ml bottles selling for just £1.99. This is CBD-infused water, to be clear, and Love Hemp claims the formulation took nine months’ worth of research from its Research and Development team. It basically tastes like mineral water, and is a great way to get your CBD intake on the move and stay hydrated at the same time.
Love Hemp Pros
- Premium quality full-spectrum CBD with CO2 extraction
- Wide range of products
- Reputable company
Love Hemp Cons
- Lack of reviews, which is odd
- Relatively expensive
2 – Hempura CBD
Hempura CBD is a member of the Cannabis Trades Association (CTA), which is the only UK-centric trade association for Britain. The organisation works with every sector of the hemp and cannabis industry to “provide advice, promote good practice, and ensure that consumers of legal weed and hemp products are well-educated on the topic.”
As per the company’s website, Hempura oil is rich in active cannabinoids and dedicated to “improving the health of [its] consumers and helping them reclaim back the lifestyle they deserve.”
Hempura CBD Oil Review
Hempura CBD Oil in the UK comes in three strengths:
- 250mg 2.5%: £24.99
- 500mg 5%: £39.99
- 1000mg 10%: £69.99
Each bottle contains 10 ml of liquid, with a total of 200 drops in each one. According to the Hempura shop, there is between 0.01% and 0.05% of THC in each bottle. The strongest version contains 5 mg of CBD per drop and is full-spectrum oil, meaning that the entourage effect should enhance its efficacy.
One of the features of Hempura hemp oil is the ultra-filtration used in the extraction process. As a result, only the most active cannabinoids get harvested, meaning that you get the ‘cream of the crop’ with regards to CBD.
Furthermore, there are no additional chemical substances, so you know that when you use Hempura CBD, you are receiving cannabidiol (CBD), and other cannabinoids, precisely as nature intended.
Shake the bottle before every use and place the requisite number of drops beneath the tongue. Then, hold for around 90 seconds before swallowing (if you find this administration technique to be too difficult, or you don’t like the taste of the raw hemp oil, you may prefer Hempura CBD capsules or edibles instead).
Hempura’s Other CBD Products
Hempura also sells vape liquid, capsules and chocolates. The vape liquid is ideal for those looking to use a vaping device to consume their CBD, and it comes in 2.5% and 5% strengths. This is a broad spectrum CBD, which means it contains cannabinoids such as CBDV and CBC in addition to the active CBD.
The capsules contain 10mg of CBD each, and are available in 30-count bottles for £24.99.
Lastly, we have to say that we absolutely loved the white chocolates. While they are a tad expensive, as is the norm with edibles, they are a real delight and a worthy treat (although we would not recommend them as your sole CBD source). The strongest option contains 50mg of CBD per chocolate (which is a lot), with 20 pieces costing you £44.99.
- Excellent customer service.
- Reputable brand that provides third-party lab results to back up its claims.
- The site’s Knowledge Center provides you with invaluable information about CBD and other cannabinoids.
- Lack of information about the organization on the company website.
3 – Ciitech (Provacan CBD)
Ciitech itself is actually primarily a cannabis research organization based out of Israel, and its site proudly notes that Israeli scientist Dr. Raphael Mechoulam (widely regarded as the father of modern cannabis), has played a pivotal role in their cannabis science. For the record, the products sold by CiitechLtd bear the brand name Provocan, so keep this in mind when looking for the firm’s oils and tinctures online.
Review of Ciitech/Provacan CBD oil
Ciitech sells its CBD oil in two strengths:
- 600mg 6%: £39.99
- 1200mg 12%: £69.99
Each bottle contains 200 drops, and Provacan recently increased the size of the larger option by 20%. If you choose the 1200mg option, you receive 6mg of CBD per drop in the 10ml bottle. The company has also boosted the terpene profile of its oil along with levels of additional cannabinoids, including CBG, CBC, THCa, and CBDv – all non-psychoactive compounds that do not produce a high.
They are also full-spectrum oils, which means that, according to studies, the natural cannabinoids maintain a more active presence in the body. Ciitech CBD is keen to point out that its herbal remedies are grown, processed, and produced under strict EU agricultural food processing conditions.
They have loads of positive customer reviews on their website, including recommendations from a prominent UK/EU CBD user Facebook group. Even though Provacan legally does not advertise their CBD oils as having medicinal effects, one customer (by the name of “Seb”), noted that he/she use the 6% oil for chronic pain, and after 2 weeks was able to cut their prescription meds by almost 50%.
Ciitech’s Other Products
We were a little surprised to learn that the company doesn’t sell edibles or gummies, but they do currently have a great skin & body balm (infused in natural beeswax), as well as a whole-body deep tissue massage oil.
The balm costs £39.99 and each 30ml tub contains 300mg of CBD. Application simply involves massaging a small amount into the desired area for fast-acting, all natural relief (other ingredients include coconut oil, cocoa butter, and rapeseed oil).
The massage oil offers a more “sensual experience”; each 20ml bottle costs £19.99, and contains 100mg of CBD. The e-liquid range for vape pens comes in several sizes, and is ideal for those who want to vape their CBD daily. The Ciitech UK branch even sells starter kits for £59.99, which include a vaping device and 600mg of CBD e-liquid.
- Helps sponsor research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which is currently one of the most highly regarded cannabis research organizations in the world
- Well-known company with a presence in several countries.
- Offers a decent range of options, including massage oil and balm.
- The e-liquid is excellent, and one of the only quality options for CBD vape oils in the UK
- Doesn’t sell CBD edibles in the UK.
- Could provide more information regarding their current research on their website
4 – CBD Life UK
CBD Life UK is another member of the CTA in the UK, and the company’s mission is simply to “help make the world a better place,” aiming to lead by example. It promises to ensure you receive high-quality CBD products, and that your needs are met with every single order.
CBD Life’s CBD Oil
CBD Life CBD oil in the UK is available in two options; as a standard hemp oil spray and as liquid “aqua drops.”
The spray contains 400 mg of CBD and CBDa (a carboxylated form of CBD), for £24.95. The bottle contains 10 ml of liquid and, as there are 80 sprays, each spray contains 5mg of CBD. According to CBD Life, taking CBD sublingually enables the cannabinoid to travel directly to the bloodstream without being subject to metabolic breakdown in the digestive system.
The firm infuses a full hemp extract, which has been removed from the plant via CO2 extraction into an MCT oil. This oil contains vitamin-E and is non-toxic. CBD Life says that customers generally use up to 20mg of CBD a day by spraying a few drops beneath the tongue 2-3 times per day.
The aqua drops cost £39.95 per bottle and also come in a 10ml bottle. Each drop contains 1 ml of CBD, and CBD life recommends a single “serving” of 5mg to begin with.
Ideally, you should use this oil up to 30 minutes after eating. Additional ingredients include curcumine, vegetable glycerin, triglycerides, limonene, and sodium bicarbonate. In all the truth the taste isn’t the best, but most will say it is well worth the minor discomfort.
CBD Life’s Other Products
CBD Life oil is not the only thing you can purchase from the company. In fact, it actually has one of the most impressive range of products on this list, comparing well to Amma Life, which is one of its main rivals for CBD in the UK.
The current CBD Life product range includes edibles, capsules, pastes, dabs, vapes, topicals, and CBD e-liquids for vaping.
Personally, I have a major sweet tooth so I was pleased to see CBD gummy rings on sale. Each ring contains 25mg of premium-quality CBD, and a pack of five costs £9.95. You can save a little money by purchasing three packs for £28.45, or five packs for £44.95.
As well as tasting delicious, each ring contains vitamins, minerals and Omega-3 fatty acids. These fall into the ‘treat’ category and we must warn you that they contain sugar along with coconut oil, natural coloring and flavouring, citric acid, and gelatin.
CBD Life Pros
- Fantastic range of CBD products.
- Impressive number of vitamins, minerals and cannabinoids.
CBD Life Cons
- Not many customer reviews online, although there is a Facebook page.
- Too many additional ingredients in some products such as the Aqua Drops.
5 – Love CBD
Love CBD is a small, family-owned business that operates out of Suffolk. The company was formed in late 2014 – before CBD use skyrocketed around the world. According to the founders, it was becoming obvious that cannabidiol was growing into a big deal in the United States, as it was gaining legal status across the country.
Today, Love CBD is one of the largest sellers of cannabidiol in the UK – if you’ve done any research at all into British cannabis, you’ve likely heard of them. They currently offer balms, oils, capsules, and much more.
Review of Love CBD Oil
The Love CBD ‘Entourage’ oil is one of the company’s biggest sellers, and comes in three sizes:
- 800mg: £48.99
- 1400mg: £79.99
- 2000mg: £129.99
Each bottle contains 20ml of oil, but as you can see, the potency varies. The strongest option, the 2000mg version, has 16mg of CBD per spray and also includes the active cannabinoid CBDa. According to Love CBD, it combines several legal cannabis strains grown in different climates to increase the efficacy of the compounds.
Aside from cannabis extract, the only other ingredient is olive oil. This means that there are no chemicals or unnecessary ingredients. It contains CBD, CBDa, and CBG along with a number of terpenes and minimal THC. The terpenes included are limonene, myrcene, beta-caryophyllene, and alpha-pinene.
Unlike many other brands, Love CBD uses spray rather than a dropper because it believes sprays are more convenient. When using this product, make sure you spray it under the tongue up to four times a day, preferably with food.
As it contains nothing but “natural goodness,” there is no sickly aftertaste and we were extremely happy with the overall sensation.
What About Love CBD’s Other Products?
Love CBD also has capsules for sale, with 60-count bottles available for £34.99 (each capsule containing 10mg of CBD).
The Love CBD balm comes in a 10-gram tub for £13.99, or a 30-gram tub that costs £29.99. The CBD used in this product comes from cannabis grown in Croatia and Slovenia, and other ingredients include shea butter, rosemary, grape seed oil, and coconut oil. To use, simply rub a little on the affected area.
You can also purchase Love CBD e-liquid for vaporizers in indica or sativa form. Each 10ml bottle costs £29.99, and contains 250mg of CBD. Choose the sativa if you’re in need of “uplifting or invogorating” effects, or the indica for more relaxing effects.
Love CBD Pros
- There are Love CBD coupons available that offer up to 80% off.
- The oil is full spectrum hemp extract.
- Love CBD is a well-respected company in the industry, with outstanding reviews in the UK.
Love CBD Cons
- It would be nice if they sold edibles.
- It is difficult to unsubscribe.
6 – Good Hemp
The oil offered by Good Hemp is a little different to everything else on this list. While other brands sell oils, balms, and edibles, Good Hemp is all about food!
More pertinently, the company sells cooking products filled with CBD goodness. The goal of the brand is to show the world how versatile hemp is, and it even provides you with a lengthy list of recipe ideas on its site.
For example, did you know that hemp oil has 40% less saturated fat than olive oil, or that it contains half of your daily Omega-3 intake recommendation — AND has 25 times more Omega-3 than olive oil?
Good Hemp CBD Oil
Good Hemp sells pure hemp oil in two sizes: 250ml (£4.49) and 500ml (£5.99). As you can see, the larger option is far better value for money.
Rather than consuming it like typical tinctures, you are supposed to use it as you would olive oil. If you are on a diet, though, be careful with consumption as 100ml of this oil contains a whopping 900 calories and 9.4 grams of saturated fat.
It is made from 100% cold pressed hemp seed oil, but Good Hemp does not tell us how much CBD it actually contains.
While hemp seeds are undoubtedly a ‘superfood’ and provide ample vitamins and minerals, they don’t typically contain a large amount of CBD. Therefore, you shouldn’t use Good Hemp’s product as a CBD oil substitute. (Obviously, you wouldn’t expect to receive much CBD in a product that costs less than ten dollars… or in this case, ten British pounds).
What About Other Good Hemp CBD Products?
Every Good Hemp product is made from hemp seeds, which means you’ll have to go elsewhere for your CBD needs. However, there are plenty of alternative benefits associated with hemp, so don’t dismiss it or skip out on it entirely.
Good Hemp also sells shakes and protein powder. The 2.5kg tub of raw protein costs £30, and contains an impressive 50 grams of protein per 100 grams. While the pure protein 2.5kg is more expensive at £49.99, it contains 75% protein and, with 22 grams per serving, it is an ideal supplement for gym lovers.
It also contains an enormous array of amino acids and a reasonable amount of fibre. I have to admit, it doesn’t taste as good as commercial protein powders, but it is probably far healthier and is free from dairy, lactose, soy and whey. Plus, there is no added sugar.
One of the best things about the Good Hemp website is the huge number of recipes on offer. Obviously, each dish contains Good Hemp ingredients, but with a menu including meat & fish, vegetarian meals, desserts, starters, shakes and a few treats, it offers everything you need to follow a healthy and balanced diet. If things seem a little expensive, you can usually find a Good Hemp coupon available online.
Good Hemp Pros
- Large selection of hemp-based products.
- Widely available; including in supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s.
- There are various Good Hemp promo codes available to lower the price.
- Professionally packaged products and rapid delivery when purchasing on the site.
Good Hemp Cons
- The products don’t say how much CBD they contain (probably not a lot).
- Mostly used for cooking
7 – Hemp Botanics
Hemp Botanics is a London-based company that claims it sells the first fully legal weed in the UK. It was founded by Nick and Lisa-Marie with a goal to provide its customers with ethically sourced hemp that is 100% legal and contains full spectrum essential oil extracts and terpenes.
Interestingly, Hemp Botanics says it has a close relationship with key members of the House of Lords, and all of its products are third-party tested, so you know exactly how much CBD is in each product.
Hemp Botanics Review
When you browse through the company’s website, you’ll notice something very strange: it doesn’t have its own version of CBD oil.
In fact, Hemp Botanics sells a range of products from other brands including Endo Water, Liquid CBD, and CBDistillery. (One wonders what kind of ‘cut’ Hemp Botanics gets from this unique arrangement).
The only actual Hemp Botanics products are Hemp Flowers. We were unable to try out the Sweet Leaf version because it was sold out, so we settled on Spring Haze instead. It contains 22% CBD, and you can purchase it in four sizes:
- 1 Gram: £10
- 4 Grams: £35
- 8.5 Grams: £72
- 28 Grams: £220
At 220 mg of CBD per gram, you receive over 6,000 grams of cannabidiol for £220, which is actually an exceptional value. If you used 20 grams a day for example, you would have almost a year’s supply. However, as it is only available in strain form, it is difficult to measure a portion.
The main plus point is the versatility of Hemp Botanics’ weed. You can brew it to enjoy CBD tea, add it to smoothies, put it in a vaporizer or create your own CBD tincture.
Obviously you can also smoke it, and we were actually blown away by the taste and quality of the supposed “legal joint.” Although you won’t get high at all, it is a nice, super relaxing way to leisurely puff on a bowl or joint — or maybe even a classic meerschaum pipe.
The other products on offer include CBD tinctures, disposable vape pens, CBD honey, and CBD isolate slabs.
Hemp Botanics Pros
- One of the few UK companies to sell CBD in flower/strain form.
- Pure, high-quality taste
- Outstanding value for money.
Hemp Botanics Cons
- The brand itself doesn’t sell any other products.
- You have to research the other companies to determine if their CBD oils, balms etc. are worth getting.
8 – Holistic Hemp
Holistic Hemp Scotland uses hemp grown on small artisan farms across the European Union. It only uses hemp that is grown organically using a bio-dynamic process that is free from artificial fertilizers and pesticides.
After the crop is ready for harvest, the flowers are handpicked and hung up individually to dry at natural temperatures. Once the hemp is completely dry, the CBD is taken from it via CO2 extraction under low pressure and low heat conditions.
Holistic Hemp’s CBD is very different to many of its rivals, who often use hemp that is bulk harvested by cutting machines, and where the CBD is usually extracted via high temperatures, which compromises the molecular structure of the compounds along the way.
Holistic Hemp, in contrast, sells CBD that also contains terpenes, flavonoids and a full spectrum of cannabinoids.
Holistic Hemp Review
The company’s tincture contains 5% CBD + CBDA. As a result, each 10ml bottle contains 500mg of cannabidiol and a range of extra cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids for just £35. The company recommends taking 10-20 drops up to three times a day for best results. (You will save 5% by purchasing three bottles).
There are also capsules on offer; a bottle contains 30 x 15mg of CBD, although you can try a turmeric paste extract which has 10mg of CBD, 10mg of Turmerone and 20mg of Curcumin per capsule. The CBD-only capsules cost £45 a bottle, while the Turmeric version is on offer for £40.
For a “change of scenery,” I tried the Holistic Hemp Scotland paste, which is available in four variants (from 15-26% CBD) and five sizes ranging from 1 – 30 grams. I tried the 3-gram tube of the 15% CBD whole plant extract, which costs £25. You can add it to food, consume it beneath the tongue like a tincture, or do what I did and eat it!
The paste actually smells fantastic, and if you want even more bang for your buck, try the 27% version because it is almost double the strength of what I took, and frankly, 15% is more than enough. The one downside is that, because it comes in a syringe that you squeeze, measuring your intake is rather tricky.
There is also Holistic Hemp Scotland dab wax that ranges from 70% – 90% and comes in two flavours; Durban and Blueberry OG. While I am not a fan of isolates, the 90% CBD shatter seems to be a pretty in-demand product, and there’s no denying that CBD dabbing is becoming more and more popular by the day in the UK.
The company is also promising to sell luxury hemp tea in the near future, and there is currently also the option to purchase hemp for construction/building purposes if you’re interested.
Holistic Hemp Scotland Pros
- Extremely high-quality products.
- The paste smells and tastes gorgeous.
- The extraction process means you get more cannabinoids and no chemicals.
Holistic Hemp Scotland Cons
- It is a relatively new company, although reviews so far are mainly positive.
- Not easy to measure your CBD intake when using dabs and paste.
9 – Aura CBD
Aura CBD oil actually comes from a well-known and respected brand based in California, but it has a strong presence in the UK with a London office. It is mostly known for creating vape oils in a variety of CBD to THC ratios, although it is unable to sell THC in Britain because it is illegal at present.
Aura CBD Oil Review
Aura sells its oil in several strengths, but the most popular option is its 5.2% CBD hemp seed oil. You are supposed to use two drops up to four times a day. The oil also contains terpenes, CBN, CBC, and CBG. There is 500mg of CBD per bottle, and you can purchase a pack of four for £110.
If you’re unwilling to spend that much at once, try the 250mg starter oil, as a 10ml bottle costs just £20. It is weaker at 2.5% CBD, but at least it includes a full spectrum of cannabinoids.
Another big seller is the 16.5% CBD paste/99% CBD isolate combo. It costs £102, but it contains a significant number of cannabinoids and I was especially pleased by how long the package lasted, given how frequently (multiple times a day) I used it.
I realise that there are more cannabis restrictions in the UK than in California, but there are far fewer options on the Aura CBD website than one would expect. For example, where are the edibles? I’m talking chocolate and gummies… NOT tasteless paste!
There is no question about the quality of the products on display, but experienced users may prefer stronger oils.
Aura CBD Pros
- Reputable brand with international reach.
- The combination of products is a nice touch that’s not seen with many brands.
- You can usually save money with online Aura CBD discount codes.
Aura CBD Cons
- The website is poorly designed.
- Lack of edibles.
- CBD oil strength is a little on the low side.
10 – PureKana
It may be odd to include an American-based company in this list, and while PureKana does not have a UK manufacturing facility, it does have a British office in Watford and also ships internationally for a decent price.
This is an industry-leading brand in the U.S., where its hemp CBD products are legal in all 50 states. Now that CBD is considered medicine in the UK, PureKana is already expanding its enterprise overseas.
PureKana CBD Oil UK Review
PureKana CBD oil comes in Vanilla, Natural, and Mint flavors. You can purchase it in one of three strengths:
- 300mg: $54
- 600mg: $95
- 1000mg: $139
This CBD oil is non-GMO, contains less than 0.02% THC, and is free from solvents, pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers. While each bottle contains 30ml of liquid, PureKana maintains that it contains 40 servings. Use the dropper to place the drops beneath your tongue, wait for at least one minute and then swallow.
Before embarking on my CBD quest, I had absolutely no idea about reputable brands and products, and I think I actually tried six different tinctures before someone recommended Pure Kana. I tried the 1000mg bottle of natural CBD oil, and followed the 40 serving instruction which meant 25mg a day. To put it simply, it was exactly what I had been looking for and was finally a product that could compare to what I was hearing about and reading online.
What About PureKana’s Other Products?
As well as selling CBD oil, the brand also offers CBD capsules, topicals, CBD for pets, gummies, and CBD Pure Picks, which are cool little toothpicks infused with CBD that you can suck/chew on for up to 45 minutes at a time.
As per usual, I simply had to try the gummies and, in this case, each one contains 25mg of CBD which is more than enough for a daily serving. Each bottle has 20 gummies for $35, and if you’re taking CBD for the first time, it may be wise to try half or even a quarter of one. Ingredients include grape juice concentrate, organic corn syrup, and citric acid. I tried these an hour before bed, and I can tell you that I slept like a well-fed baby.
- One of the most reputable and well-selling CBD oils in the U.S.
- It uses European certified organic hemp and utilizes CO2 extraction to derive full-spectrum CBD for its products.
- The vanilla CBD oil tastes amazing.
- There is a 5% PureKana discount code widely available: just enter 5OFFCBD1 during checkout.
- Delivery to the UK could be quicker, especially since the brand has a UK office (though this probably has more to do with international customs rather than the company itself).
- Relatively expensive compared to other brands.
Here’s the Champion… Elixinol!
We have a slight confession to make, we didn’t review 10 significant CBD brands… we actually analyzed 11 and saved the best for last in the form of Elixinol!
This company was founded by hemp expert Paul Benhaim, and has been featured in major publications such as Men’s Health, Newsweek, and The Wall Street Journal.
Elixinol Review – Exceptional Hemp Oil
There are a multitude of options if you’re interested in Elixinol CBD, including its 300mg tincture for $29.99 which is ideal for beginners. If you’re in need of something stronger, try the 3600mg bottle. It costs $249 and both sizes come in Natural and Cinna-mint flavor.
I tried the 3600mg bottle which contains 120ml of liquid in a bottle made from premium quality glass. The cinna-mint flavor has a refreshing taste and, like all Elixinol hemp oil products, it is a full spectrum cannabinoid extract which includes natural molecules such as Alkanes, Sugars, Amino Acids, Ketones, Flavonoids, Vitamins, and more (you can check out the Certificate of Analysis on the website). It also contains coconut extract to help with bioavailability.
I followed the company guidelines, which said to use 0.5ml (one-quarter of the 2ml dropper) three times a day. As each ml contains 30mg, I was using 45mg of CBD and felt all the better for it. When you consider the fact that the company uses high-end extraction methods to get its CBD, 45 mg is actually a very handsome serving.
What About Elixinol’s Other Products?
There is a super-strength 5000mg CBD tincture, which is bizarrely only available in Brazil for $599. Other Elixinol products include CBD pet treats, CBD oil oral applicators, lip balm, capsules, hemp seeds, and protein powder. However, Elixinol’s new Hemp CBD Oil Liposomes are arguably the best of the whole lot.
In case you weren’t aware, liposomes carry hemp oil through your body’s membranes. This product comes in 300mg and 1000mg sizes; I tried the larger version for $129. In terms of cost per mg, it is more expensive than the oil, but that’s understandable since you generally need less of it to get a similar effect.
The added stevia herb extract sweetener, along with the real citrus fruit flavor, ensured it tasted great and I only needed about 15mg of CBD (three x 5mg sprays) for the effects I was looking for. It dissolves very quickly, so all you have to do is spray some beneath your tongue and swallow. If, for some reason, the citrus taste is too strong, you can spray it into water and drink it.
Overall, we have no hesitation in declaring Elixinol as the #1 seller of CBD oil in the UK for 2018.
- Extremely high CBD content.
- Innovative range of products.
- Around 5% of Elixinol’s revenue goes to a trustworthy charity.
- Most of the products actually taste very good.
- The liposomes are remarkably effective.
- Possibly a little on the expensive side, but still offers value for the money.
- The company doesn’t take responsibility for customs/duty problems, so you won’t get a refund if your order is seized as it comes into the country (this is unlikely, but has been known to happen).
