According to thecannabist.co, New Mexico Senate has recently approved revisions to the state’s medical cannabis program. The update will include new medical conditions and eventually raise the limit on production to satisfy demand.
The bill was approved by Senate and has now moved to the House of Representatives. This is a significant event for New Mexico as it will allow 14 additional medical conditions to be treated with marijuana and will also allow visitors from other states to buy marijuana in New Mexico.
As of now, there are currently around 32,000 registered patients with growers limited to 450 plants each. Definitely, not enough!
The new laws will come into effect once the number of registered patients reach 35,000.
