According to thecannabist.co recreational marijuana shops could start popping up around Nevada as early as July 1.
Since voters legalized it for adults over 21 in November, Nevada has been on the fast track to getting it going throughout the state allowing people to purchase recreational marijuana. While laws are still yet to be decided, temporary licenses will be open only to medical marijuana shops in good standing with the state.
The good thing is that based on Execturive Director Deonne Contine’s timeline, those who wish to get into the industry and start selling marijuana could apply for a license as soon as October 2018.
Nevada is definitely taking a step in the right direction, and the new laws are going to generate a wave of businesses and income from tax, which will be put to good use.
