This coffee shop is located in a modern building in a street that is very different to those in the nearby Red Light District. It is quite small, and due to it’s popularity you’ll be standing for quite a bit before you get your goods. BUT, once you get them, the quality of the product is amazing and well worth the wait.
Bluebird was founded in 1982 and has a good name for its range of hash, grass, food and its multi-lingual staff. The atmosphere is great and this is a definite place to stop and chill, especially if you have been walking around all day.
Prices are affordable, especially for Amsterdam. You can pick up some hash for as low as 5 euro and up.
- The is really one of the best one-stop shops for weed. The quality of the product is great and due to it’s popularity, it has become quite a tourist attraction.
- The location is fab! Located close to red light district (around a 10 minute walk), this coffeeshop is dead in the center of some of the best places to visit in Amsterdam including the Museum Het Rembrandthuis, Candy freaks and South Church.
- The product is something to talk about. The menu has a wide selection of weed and other fun stuff to get you smokin’
Cons: With this place, you really have to know what you want before you enter. As you walk in you’ll have to climb up some stairs to the 2nd floor to see your dealer. During most hours you’ll encounter long lines, which basically means that when it’s your turn, you’d better be ready to order. It is best to come during off-hours.
