Previously known as “Whootsie Tootsie”, Amnesia is a “boutique” coffeeshop located on the beautiful Prinsengracht canal. As you walk into this cozy little place you’ll instantly be greeted by friendly staff and a decor that sets an amazing atmosphere. This small coffee shop gives you an instant feeling that you’ve come to the right place. With dark red interior, nice hanging red lights and mellow music that sets the mood, you’ll feel right at home.
Amnesia CoffeeShop Highlights
- On a sunny day it’s a great spot to sit outside and watch the boats on the Herengracht.
- The menu has a large variety of edibles, space cakes and super tasty pre-rolls. Amnesia Coffeeshop actually has quite an interesting menu with some lesser known varieties (some of them 100% organic). Some of their quality stuff you can pick up for less than 1 Euro.
- Excellent customer service. Even though the place is most of the time packed, they still try to provide a professional and fast service. We had no complaints.
As the Marijuanabreak team arrived in Amsterdam we had to go and visit this place. It provides a completely different scene to the more familiar places in Denver or California. Apart from the weed related products, the coffeeshop itself is great. The staff are really friendly and the drinks and snacks are delicious. Plus there is an added bonus to this coffeeshop. Instead of just sitting around, you can chill to excellent music and play board games. It doesn’t get better than that!
We tasted a few things on their menu and can highly recommend the chocolate soy milk. DELICIOUS. We also tried the limonata, which is a blended lime and mint drink. As to the Kush, prices are fair and the pre-rolls are extremely tasty.
Oh, and they also have a wide variety of grinders, bongs, pipes and vapes.
Final Thoughts About Amnesia CoffeeShop
If you are in Amsterdam and looking for a great place with quality products, then Amnesia Coffeeshop is the place to go. This shop sets the bar high in Amsterdam with its friendly atmosphere and amazing service. The only negative thing we found was that they only accept cash, so make sure not to come with your pockets empty otherwise you’ll be leaving empty!
