Let me go ahead and be clear about something – I’ve tried a lot of CBD oils over the past two years or so. Probably more than I care to know. Most of them, truth be told, haven’t really worked too well for me (I get fairly routine leg pain/soreness from a previous surgery, and also go through periods of anxiety, depression, etc).
It’s not that I don’t think CBD oil works – I most certainly think it does, and I’ve indeed taken a few that have provided unbelievable therapeutic results. It’s just that given the unregulated nature of the current market, I think there are a lot of really, really low-quality CBD oils out there that don’t really do anything.
Colorado-based TryTheCBD is not one of these companies – at least not in my opinion based on the products that I’ve seen (and tried) from them. Genuinely speaking, they seem to be the real deal. To find out why, keep on reading my complete and updated TryTheCBD review.
TryTheCBD: Who Are They?
TryTheCBD must be a relatively small company, because I had never heard of them before doing this review. And like I said earlier, I’ve tried and reviewed a lot of CBD oil brands over the past several months.
Of course, it’s certainly not a bad thing that I’d never heard of them before. In my experience, it seems some companies (not all of them of course) focus more of their efforts on marketing, rather than the quality of their actual product.
I could be wrong, but it seems to me like TryTheCBD is a brand that has prioritized quality first, and has only recently gotten around to trying to expand their customer base. They are based in Denver Colorado, which as you surely know is more or less than cannabis epicenter of the United States – if not the world.
Each and every one of their CBD products is made from pure, organic cannabis (hemp) that is grown entirely in Colorado. They also claim to be non-GMO, and since their oils and other products are derived from industrial hemp, they are able to ship to all 50 U.S. states – a massive coup for anyone looking to get their hands on real, authentic CBD oil but don’t have good access in their home state.
In other words, if you’ve been searching for ‘CBD oil near me‘ but haven’t had much luck in terms of finding a product that actually works, give them a try. For my money, I have not really found a better value hemp oil that provided better results (see below for my full review).
TryTheCBD Review: Checking Out Their Product Range
Before I get into the full TryTheCBD review, let’s take a look at their product range. They’ve got an impressively large number of options available, which was relatively surprising given the fact that they’re not a massive operation.
In case you’re unaware, CBD is available in a variety of different forms – not just the oil form that you take orally below the tongue. TryTheCBD offers infused CBD capsules, topical balms, crystal isolates and shatter, CBD for pets, and CBD vape products – all in addition to their standard tinctures. Let’s check each product out at a time and take a brief look at their pricing and overall value.
TryTheCBD | Hemp Oil Tinctures
TryTheCBD hemp oil tinctures come in both full-spectrum and isolate form. With full-spectrum, you’re getting a complete extract of all active ingredients from the hemp (cannabis) plant. With CBD isolate, you’re getting nothing except the active CBD compound infused into organic MCT (coconut) oil.
Which one is better, you’re probably wondering? Well, studies have generally shown that full-spectrum tinctures are more therapeutically effective due to a phenomenon known as the ‘entourage effect‘. However, full-spectrum hemp oils do contain trace amounts of THC.
If you’re subject to random or routine drug testing, it may be a better option to go with CBD isolate, as they are 100% THC-free (in rare instances people have been known to fail a drug test when taking full-spectrum CBD oil). In any regard, here is my full TryTheCBD review, with each of their hemp oil options outlined in an easy-to-read table:
|PRODUCT||BOTTLE SIZE||AMOUNT OF CBD PER DROP||PRICE|
Spectrum CBD Oil
|30 mL||8.33 mg||$234.99|
Spectrum CBD Oil
|30 mL||5 mg||$149.99|
Spectrum CBD Oil
|30 mL||2.5 mg||$89.99|
|500mg Full Spectrum CBD Oil||15 mL||1.67 mg||$34.99|
|3,000mg CBD Oil (THC Free)||15 mL||10 mg||$149.99|
|1,500mg CBD Oil (THC Free)||15 mL||5 mg||$89.99|
|1,000mg CBD Oil (THC Free)||15 mL||3.33 mg||$59.99|
|600mg CBD Oil (THC Free)||15 mL||2 mg||$39.99|
|200mg CBD Oil (THC Free)||15 mL||0.67 mg||$19.99|
TryTheCBD | CBD Capsules
CBD capsules are nice to take if you don’t like the idea of counting out drops of oil, then holding them under your tongue for a minute and a half while the CBD absorbs into your bloodstream. TryTheCBD offers infused capsules in both full-spectrum and isolate form, with prices ranging from $15.99 to $94.99. They come in 5-count bottles all the way up to 60-count bottles, and each individual capsule contains 25mg of CBD.
TryTheCBD | Topical Creams and Balms
A lot of people use topical CBD balms and lotions for arthritis and muscle pain, as well as general skin care. TryTheCBD has several available options, including lip balms, muscle gels, and massage oils among other things. Prices range from $7.99 to $49.99.
TryTheCBD | Pet Products
CBD oil for pets and humans is basically the same thing, but companies that offer pet-specific products usually just add a bit of flavoring so the animal actually wants to eat it (ever tried putting some drops of CBD under your dog’s tongue?). TryTheCBD offers a 15mL/600mg CBD Pet tincture that contains 2mg of CBD per drop. It costs $39.99.
TryTheCBD | Vape
TryTheCBD offers one of the biggest selections of CBD vape oils I’ve seen in recent memory. I’m not huge into vaping myself, but if you are, be sure to check out the TryTheCBD website and browse what they’ve got available. If the quality of their vape oils is anything as good as the quality of their tinctures, it’s probably the best CBD vape option you can get (short of buying from a medical or recreational dispensary). They offer pre-filled disposable vape pens in a variety of flavors, as well as CBD vape oils that you can use to fill up your favorite cartridge device. The vape pens are $34.99, while the vape oils (1,000mg/0.5 oz) are $49.99.
TryTheCBD | Concentrates (Shatter, Crystal)
CBD concentrates can be used in dab rigs or vaporizers, or can even be used to make your own homemade CBD oil. TryTheCBD offers highly-potent CBD shatter and crystal isolates, which range in price from $14.50 to $54.99.
My Personal Review of TryTheCBD (Hemp Oil Tincture)
To be clear, the only product I tested during my TryTheCBD review was their Full-Spectrum 5,000 mg Hemp Oil tincture, which costs $249.99. This is their most potent full-spectrum option, and contains over 8 mg of CBD in a singe drop (a single serving size is suggested as 8 drops, or roughly 66mg CBD).
In truth, the very first thing that I noticed when opening up the bottle of oil was that it actually smelled like real cannabis – it had a very, very distinct aroma of decent quality weed. Of course, since it is made from hemp it has less than 0.3% THC, which means there’s no way you could ever get high off of it. I’ve tried countless “CBD hemp oils” that had no aroma whatsoever of cannabis, so I considered this a very good sign in terms of quality.
The largest dose I took was 15 drops (which equated to about 125 mg CBD), and I can say that it without a doubt helped my pain and soreness – which is saying a lot. I had surgery years and years ago from a pretty severe tibia/fibula fracture, and I routinely deal with pain, soreness, and inflammation in my leg and knee. I also play in a competitive soccer league once a week, and I can say that after games I’m usually very, very sore.
The CBD oil definitely made me feel better. It genuinely relaxed my body, almost like an actual marijuana high (just without the high of course). And the fact that it relieved some of the pain and general muscle soreness in my leg was, in all honesty, pretty astonishing. Sometimes my pain doesn’t even respond to ibuprofen, so the fact that this CBD helped was very impressive.
In terms of taste, I absolutely loved. It is unflavored, so you get a rich, very obvious cannabis taste – kind of like smoking a really nice marijuana vape pen, but again, without any sort of a high.
Also, one of my favorite things about this TryTheCBD review was finding out that they posted a lab report on each one of the individual product pages. Simply go to the website and browse through their products, and you can see the report, which verifies both the purity of the oil and the actual CBD content.
TryTheCBD: Do I Recommend Them?
All things considered, I am super impressed with TryTheCBD, and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them. Their prices are highly competitive compared to other products I’ve tried (most of which don’t work half as well), which is just an added bonus considering the high-quality of the products. I can not really think of another brand that offers the same amount of quality for the price.
Realistically you would have to go to an actual medical marijuana dispensary to find something this good, which of course not a lot of people in the U.S. have access to. The fact that TryTheCBD ships to all 50 states means that the entire adult American population now has access to reliable, very high-quality CBD oil with no medical card required. Again, I highly recommend trying them out.
TryTheCBD Review: Final Thoughts
All in all, I genuinely think TryTheCBD is one of the most legit hemp oils out there, and the fact that it is available in all 50 states for an affordable price is pretty astonishing to me. These guys definitely rank up there with some of the best legal CBD oils I’ve tried (medical included), and I can’t say enough good things about them.
Of course, bear in mind that I tried one of their most potent (and expensive) products. I can’t say how the lower-potency options might work, but if you’re simply wanting to use them for things like stress, anxiety, or sleep relief, I imagine they would work very well. If you’re trying to relieve pain, I’d suspect you might have to go with something like the bottle I tried, which was the 5,000mg full-spectrum tincture.
