Full Savage CBD Review

The hemp CBD market has been described as the next ‘Gold Rush’ and with good reason. The Farm Bill of 2018 legalized the cultivation of industrial hemp in the United States, although cannabidiol itself is not federally legal. Even so, manufacturers are free to extract CBD and sell it to consumers in America and internationally.

The rapid growth of the industry has led to hundreds of CBD companies springing up. In our unbiased reviews, our goal is to help you find reputable CBD sellers so you can derive the full benefit of this exciting cannabinoid. Today, we look at Savage CBD.

Who Is Savage CBD?

There isn’t much information about the company on the website, although its HQ is in Irvine, California. You can also see pictures of the Savage CBD team, including Christopher G. Wheeler as CEO and Matt Winters as CFO. These two individuals co-founded the company in 2014. Its goal is to provide lab-tested, naturally derived CBD at a price that consumers can afford.

The brand seems set for an overhaul. In June 2021, Acquired Sales Corp signed a letter of intent to acquire 100% of the ownership interests of Savage Enterprises, which includes Savage CBD. Savage Enterprises also owns Delta Effex, Vape 100, and Zen Panda. The deal will be worth approximately $44 million.

Savage CBD uses CO2 extraction and is extremely picky about who it works with. The company requires a 5-gram sample of a product that it tests for solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and potency. Then it blends the samples into Savage products to ensure they are a good mix. The brand’s hemp is sourced from Oregon, Colorado, or Washington.

You can view Certificates of Analysis on the dedicated ‘Lab Results’ page. SC Labs performed the tests. However, we checked about a dozen of the reports and found that each one was from 2019. Savage CBD needs to update its COAs as they are badly out of date.

Savage CBD Tincture Review

Savage originally had only two flavored tincture options, but the brand now offers four:

  • Lemon Lime
  • Peach Pear
  • Pink Grapefruit
  • Cucumber Mint

You can choose between three CBD concentrations:

  • 1000mg
  • 1500mg
  • 2000mg

Savage CBD has completely slashed its prices. At one time, it cost $99.99 for 1000mg of CBD oil. However, as the market evolved with more competitors, the brand reacted by drastically reducing its prices. Indeed, at the time of this review, Savage had a sale where you could purchase 2000mg of CBD oil for under $40! You can save an additional 15% by subscribing and receiving your chosen products every two or four weeks.

The tinctures consist of full-spectrum CBD, MCT oil, hemp seed oil, essential oils, and terpenes. The brand says that some customers use Savage CBD products 3-4 times a day, while others only use them once.

Savage CBD Juice Review

While the PACT Act hurt many businesses selling vaping products, Savage CBD continues to go strong with a wide range of vape juice and cartridges.

You can purchase Savage CBD vape juice range in an impressive nine flavor options:

  • Driven
  • Hustle
  • Passion
  • Serene
  • Tranquil
  • Fiji Melons
  • Kiwi Dragon Berry
  • Straw Nanners
  • Vape Shot

All of the above come in the following three CBD concentrations, barring Vape Shot which is only available in 1000mg form:

  • 250mg
  • 500mg
  • 1000mg

In each case, there is 30ml of liquid per bottle. These juices are designed to be added to your vape pen’s tank.

Please note that Savage CBD juice contains vegetable glycerin (VG) and propylene glycol (PG). There is a growing concern that both VG and PG are harmful when vaped.

A 2018 study published in PLoS Biology indicated that both options were potentially toxic to cells. Indeed, a significant number of CBD brands are moving away from VG and PG. Some use terpenes or MCT oil instead, while others have created vape juices with no additional thinning agents.

Savage CBD’s vape juice tastes great, and customers are generally happy at how it makes them feel. Nonetheless, you have to decide whether you’re comfortable inhaling VG and PG.

Savage Oil Cartridge Review

If you don’t like the mess associated with CBD juice, you can make things simpler by investing in Savage CBD cartridges. Each one is pre-filled with 500mg of CBD. Savage recommends using it with a pen-style battery with airflow built-in. You should also vape at a relatively low temperature to get the best flavor.
Choose between the following three flavors:

  • Strawberry Citrus
  • Natural
  • Pineapple Blast

There is also the option to purchase two cartridges in a mini-bundle to save a few dollars. Unlike Savage CBD vape juice, the cartridges contain nothing but full-spectrum hemp extract and terpenes.

Savage CBD sells disposable CBD pens, but at present, they are out of stock.

Does Savage CBD Sell Any Other Products?

Yes, you can purchase a handful of other Savage products, including CBD gummies. The only option is to purchase a pack containing 6 x 50mg of CBD gummies. You might find that you need a half or even a quarter of the gummy to begin with. Its ingredients include corn syrup, sugar, and several artificial flavors, so they aren’t the healthiest CBD gummies on the market.

The brand’s only pet product is full-spectrum CBD petspray. It contains 500ml of cannabidiol in 60ml of liquid. This is a deliberately low concentration as pets require far less CBD than humans. This particular product contains full-spectrum CBD, hemp seed oil, and MCT coconut oil.

There is a slightly bigger choice with Savage CBD’s topicals range. You can purchase balm with 150mg CBD, a roll-on containing 750mg of CBD, and a lotion with 300mg of the cannabinoid. In each case, the products include skin-friendly ingredients such as aloe vera and essential oils.

You can avail of several ‘bundle’ options to save money. Also, Savage CBD helpfully makes product suggestions for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced CBD users.

Where Can I Buy Savage CBD Products?

The easiest option is to visit the official Savage CBD website. Typically, it takes 1-3 business days to process orders and 3-7 days to ship them. Interestingly, the brand doesn’t ship to South Dakota, Idaho, Nebraska, and Washington state, nor does it send CBD gummies to California.

One of the biggest disappointments with this brand is its returns and refund policy. You can cancel an unshipped order to receive a full refund. However, once the product is shipped, all sales are final. This means Savage CBD doesn’t offer any refunds, exchanges, or returns. The exception is if the product is damaged on arrival or else you receive the wrong item.

When you consider that virtually every top CBD brand has at least a 30-day money-back guarantee, this brand’s stance is odd. It is a decision that will surely lose the company some customers. In an unregulated industry, the last thing anyone wants is to pay for something in the knowledge that they can’t get their money back if the product does meet expectations.

Final Thoughts on Savage CBD

All of Savage CBD’s products are well-packaged, and it offers among the best-priced products in the industry. There is a large selection, including edibles, oils, topicals, and pet CBD spray. It also has an excellent range of vape products, although the presence of PG and VG may put some customers off. Meanwhile, the CBD gummies contain a fair amount of additives.

Perhaps the biggest downside of Savage CBD is its lack of a returns policy. It is a little strange that the brand is persisting with this stance in such a competitive industry when almost every rival offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Also, Savage CBD doesn’t ship to a handful of states, and its lab reports are outdated.

Overall, Savage CBD has been around for a relatively long time and is regarded as reputable. Its products are affordable and are worth consideration. However, remember that plenty of other CBD brands provide the safety net of a money-back guarantee.
