There are so many CBD brands out there now that it is becoming tough to differentiate between them! The CBD industry has become a global phenomenon as the cannabinoid is finally being distinguished from THC, the most abundant psychoactive compound in marijuana.
CBD is non-intoxicating, which means you don’t get high. As long as a product contains less than 0.3% THC (in most states), it is considered legal for consumption. CBD-mania has spread to the UK now, where there are now dozens of brands. In this review, we take a look at a fast-growing company by the name of OK CBD.
Who is OK CBD?
As it happens, OK CBD is OK Vape’s sister company. OK Vape is a reputable firm that has achieved the rarest of things: An excellent rating on TrustPilot! OK Vape is well-known in the industry and has such a good reputation that it supplies major UK retailers such as Morrisons, Argos, Sainsbury’s, and Asda.
OK CBD’s Facebook page had fewer than 300 likes at the time of writing as it struggles to emerge from the shadow cast by OK Vape. Its CBD oil drops are manufactured at ISO-7 certified manufacturing facilities in the United Kingdom. OK CBD also claims that it tests all products after every stage of the process, although I was unable to find third-party lab reports on the site.
Curiously, OK CBD sources its cannabidiol from hemp grown in the United States rather than relying on an EU farm.
Review of OK CBD Oil Drops
OK CBD is keeping things simple at this stage of the company’s life cycle. It only offers CBD oil drops and capsules at the time of writing. You can purchase the oil in four flavors: Vanilla, Spearmint, Orange, and Summer Berry. The CBD oil is also available in three strengths:
- 50mg: £7
- 200mg: £19
- 400mg: £25
The price point is reasonable, although it is a shame that OK CBD doesn’t sell anything larger than a 400mg bottle. Regular users will get through a bottle of it in a week, while the smallest size will last you a day or two. On the plus side, the 50mg bottle makes for an excellent ‘taster’ option.
Each bottle contains 15ml of liquid, and there are 300 drops per bottle. In the largest size, this equates to 1.33mg of CBD per drop. The CBD oil is vegan-friendly and gluten-free. The Vanilla flavor offers a pleasant taste, and the lack of bitterness is definitely a plus. While it is a good option for anxiety, you will probably need to take a lot more for chronic pain – so much in fact that you’ll need two or three bottles per order.
At least OK CBD has thought of this issue by offering multipacks. You can purchase a three-pack or four-pack of the oil and save some money:
- 50mg 3-Pack: £16
- 200mg 3-Pack: £50
- 200mg 4-Pack: £65
- 400mg 3-Pack: £65
- 400mg 4-Pack: £85
Review of OK CBD Capsules
Once again, OK CBD makes it easy for you to decide what to buy. There are two CBD capsule strengths: 10mg and 25mg. You can purchase the following:
- 30 x 10mg Capsules: £25
- 90 x 10mg Capsules: £60
- 180 x 10mg Capsules: £112.50
- 30 x 25mg Capsules: £45
- 90 x 25mg Capsules: £121.50
- 180 x 25mg Capsules: £202.50
The capsules are softgels and designed to be easy to swallow. They are ideal if you want to use CBD but are not a fan of the taste. Each capsule contains less than 0.2% THC, which means there should be no intoxicating effects to worry about. The capsules contain full-spectrum CBD distillate, and other ingredients include MCT oil, vegetable glycerin, aqua, and bovine gelatin.
The capsules are easy to swallow, and you can use them discreetly and conveniently at any time of the day.
OK CBD’s Subscription Service
OK CBD may be a relatively small company, but it is part of a much larger brand. As such, OK Vape is hoping to keep its loyal customers in what is a very competitive industry. This is why the brand has introduced a subscription service. Rather than having to visit the website every time you are running low, you can order in bulk, save money, and have a container shipped to you every month.
Every subscription includes first class delivery along with a 10% discount on 1 or 2 bottle prescriptions, and up to 23% on 3 and 4 bottle subscriptions. Here is what you can purchase:
- 1 Bottle CBD Oil Per Month: £17.10 per month for 200mg and £22.50 for 400mg.
- 2 Bottles CBD Oil: £34.20 per month for 200mg and £45 for 400mg.
- 3 Bottles CBD Oil: £45 per month for 200mg and £58.50 for 400mg.
- 4 Bottles CBD Oil: £58.50 per month for 200mg or £76.50 for 400mg.
- 1 Bottle of CBD Capsules: £22.50 for the 10mg capsules and £40.50 for the 25mg capsules.
- 3 Month Subscription of CBD Capsules: £60 for the 10mg capsules and £108 for the 25mg capsules. Unlike the other options, you only receive these capsules every three months. Therefore, you pay £20 a month for the 10mg capsules and £36 per month for the 25mg capsules.
All you have to do is add the subscription to your basket and purchase like you would a one-time product. You will then receive a package every month or every three months, depending on what you order. Go to your Account page to manage your subscription. This page allows you to see your new renewal date, change payment details, or cancel/change your prescription.
Where Can I Buy OK CBD Products?
Make your way to the official OK CBD website and choose between the CBD Oil Drops, CBD Capsules, or CBD Subscriptions pages. OK CBD pledges to dispatch your order as soon as possible and dispatches orders made before 2 pm on weekdays on the same day, or when you spend more than £14.
If you want Next Day Delivery, it will cost £7.15, while orders worth less than £14 carry a delivery charge of £2.50. At the time of writing, OK CBD only ships to UK and Republic of Ireland addresses, and customers in the latter must pay a flat delivery charge of £11.99.
OK CBD only offers returns on damaged or faulty items. The brand also says that returns of unused and unopened items will be accepted at its discretion, and only if you make the return within 30 days of purchase.
Final Thoughts on OK CBD
OK CBD is a relatively new company, although it is part of a well-known and respected brand, OK Vape. OK CBD offers a good starting point if you are new to the CBD industry and don’t want to spend a small fortune, to begin with. Paying just £7 to sample CBD is a good deal, and one I wish more brands would offer.
All you can purchase are CBD capsules and oils. They are of reasonable quality and should at least help alleviate anxiety. I wish OK CBD sold a larger bottle, but what it does, it does well and is worth checking out if you are a first-time CBD user.
