Diamond CBD Full Review

With the Farm Bill being signed into law in late 2018, it is now possible to grow industrial hemp legally in the United States. This is great news for the CBD industry since the cannabinoid is extracted from hemp, as well as from marijuana strains such as Charlotte’s Web.

Back in 2017, we reviewed Diamond CBD and noted the lack of evidence for a myriad of claims made by the company. In a nascent industry, it is always important to perform extra research to root out any bad apples. While we weren’t particularly happy with everything we saw from Diamond CBD back then, we could see that it was a brand with a lot of potential.

During this updated review, it became clear that the company had gone from strength to strength in the intervening period. Let’s see what Diamond CBD looks like today!

Who Are Diamond CBD?

Information about the company isn’t readily available on the About Us page of the official website, but in the ‘Corporate’ page, we found that Diamond CBD is a publicly-traded company owned by Potnetwork Holdings (POTN). POTN describes itself as “A global cannabis industry leader,” and owns a host of herb-related brands including Meds Biotech, Relax Liquid, and Chill Plus Gummies.

On LinkedIn, we found out that Chris Wade is the Sales Director at present, and the company seems to operate out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Diamond CBD formed in 2015, which makes it an old hand in the CBD industry! According to the brand, its goal is to develop innovative CBD hemp extracts and sell them around the world.

It is clear that the brand has upped its game from late 2017 when we last checked.

One of our criticisms at the time was difficulty in finding third-party lab reports. To be fair to Diamond CBD, they quickly rectified the situation at the time. Today, you can scroll to the bottom of the page on its website and click on the ‘CBD Lab Reports’ tab. There are five full pages covering hundreds of products!

Diamond CBD also clearly outlines its process:

  • Organically grown, non-GMO plants are used for the CBD. Diamond works with farms in Scandinavia, Colorado, and Kentucky.
  • All raw materials are quality tested.
  • Diamond CBD uses supercritical CO2 extraction; many consider this to be the best form of extraction.
  • As proven by the extensive list of lab reports, they test every batch so you can easily verify the brand’s claims.
  • Many of Diamond CBD’s products are free from THC.

The brand has been featured on CNN, CNBC, and in a host of national publications. We was excited to try out its products this time around.

Review of Diamond CBD Oils

One thing becomes clear when you browse Diamond CBD’s website: It has an enormous array of products. You could spend a significant amount of time trying to see everything. The CBD oil section is so vast that it requires three product pages!

Daily Boost

The Daily Boost range almost acts as a ‘sample’ because you get a small amount of CBD in a handy syringe that marks out how much liquid you use. It is available in Blue Dream, Granddaddy Purple, OG Kush, and Girl Scout Cookies options, among others.

On a dollar per mg basis, Daily Boost is expensive, but you are paying for the convenience of having CBD easily available while you travel. It is an excellent option if you travel a lot and want to use your CBD on the move.

  • 300mg formula (10mg): $6.99
  • 600mg formula (20mg): $8.99
  • 1000mg formula (33mg): $10.99
  • 1500mg formula (50mg): $12.99

Relax Full-Spectrum Oil

One of Diamond CBD’s main oil options is Relax Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract. Like other CBD oils, the bottle comes with a dropper, and you use it to place drops of the liquid beneath your tongue. Hold for around 60 seconds and swallow. There is a total of 13 different size options from 25mg to 3,500mg. Here is a list of a few of these sizes along with their respective prices:

  • 25mg: $19.99
  • 150mg: $49.99
  • 550mg: $89.99
  • 1500mg: $219.99
  • 3500mg: $419.99

Other CBD oil options include Relax Extreme CBD oil, Full-Spectrum Honey Tincture Oil, Watermelon Flavor Diamond CBD oil, CBD Extreme Drops, and Blue CBD Crystals Isolate. Please note that there may be up to 0.3% THC in these products.

Diamond CBD’s unflavored hemp oil also comes in a dizzying array of sizes and is priced in the same manner as the Relax range. It is a good option if you want to get the natural taste of cannabidiol.

The brand’s Full-Spectrum MCT Oil is one of the most efficient methods of consuming CBD. The fatty MCT oil is a ‘carrier’ for the cannabinoid and ensures a greater level of bioavailability. Each 1ml dropper contains 20 drops which you place beneath your tongue. We saw it available in 12 sizes with the largest, 3,500mg, available for $419.99.

Review of Diamond CBD Edibles

While most brands have one or two edibles options, Diamond CBD has three pages worth! The Yum Yum Gummies range is perhaps the best known. These are delicious gummy bears infused with CBD. They offer you the sweet candy taste you love but ensure you get your daily CBD dose. Aside from CBD, other ingredients include corn syrup, white grape juice from concentrate, and gelatin.

There doesn’t appear to be a ‘set’ amount of CBD per gummy, which is odd. In the 1500mg container, for example, the packaging says there are ‘About 20’ servings of 6 pieces. This would mean there are approximately 120 gummies so each one would have 12.5mg of CBD. It would be nice to get a precise figure. In the 250mg option, there are ‘About 9’ servings of 6 pieces, which suggests each gummy has just 5mg of CBD.

There are several size options. Here’s a small sample of what’s available:

  • 250mg: $29.99
  • 500mg: $39.99
  • 750mg: $49.99
  • 1000mg: $59.99
  • 1500mg: $79.99

There are also Chill Plus Gummies which are marketed as ‘extra strength.’ Once again, there is no set CBD dose per gummy. In the 200mg pack, for instance, there are 7 servings of 2 pieces, which means each one has around 14mg of CBD. To be fair, it is next to impossible to outline a precise CBD amount, so it is better to give an approximate estimate.

200mg of Chill Plus Gummies normally costs $21.99, but it was available for just $14.29 on sale at the time of writing. There are different Chill Plus options, including Mini Fruits, Sour Bears, and Gummy Worms.

Other CBD edibles options include Relax Gummies and Meds Biotech Gummies. As you can plainly see, Diamond CBD has no issue selling other brands and has products from more than a dozen other companies on its website.

It sells its own-brand edibles in the form of CBD Gummies, Gummy Worms, Sour Snakes, and Sour Faces; each packet contains 75mg of CBD for $9.99.

What About Diamond CBD’s Other Products?

As the brand sells goods from other companies, it has a huge amount to offer. For example, you can get Biotech CBD Cream: 500mg for $79.99 or 1,000mg for $149.99. There is a special range of products featuring Lawrence Taylor, the Hall of Fame NFL Star; including his Pain Master CBD Cream which also comes in at $149.99 for 1000mg.

CBD Bath Bombs are also interesting, and Diamond CBD has its version. Each one contains 100mg of CBD for $19.99 and comes in varieties such as Citrus & Snow Drops, White Gardenia, and Cotton Candy. To use, place the Bath Bomb in warm water, and soak for at least 30 minutes.

CBD drinks are also becoming popular, and Diamond offers its own brand CBD Double Shot; which is derived from its 350mg CBD bottle. Each Double Shot costs $7.99; but it doesn’t say how much CBD is in each one, only that it is derived from the 350mg bottle. The Double-shot contains 1mg of liquid, and each ml of 350mg CBD contains around 12mg of CBD. This is all guesswork, however.

Diamond CBD sells CBD vaping juice from brands such as Chong’s Choice, Liquid Gola, and CBD Re-Leaf.

There are also pet products, CBD cosmetics, and various bundles that could help you save a few bucks.

Diamond CBD Controversy

We have heard a few complaints about certain products containing a synthetic cannabinoid, and THC, while one product allegedly contained a common cough suppressant!

Nine products, including Blue CBD, Liquid Gold, and Diamond CBD’s oil, were tested in Forensic International in November 2018 and two contained THC. To be fair to Diamond, it could be a case of other brand’s products containing THC, and the company has pointed out that some products could contain up to 0.3% THC, which is perfectly legal.

Some users on Reddit have suggested that Diamond CBD’s products contain enough THC to get high. However, we certainly didn’t feel any psychoactive effects! At the time, the CEO of the brand, Kevin Hagen, said that the company would retest every product and recall whatever was tainted.

He also pointed out that the findings in Forensics International came from formulations used in 2017. Hagen suggested that certain samples must have been tampered with given his firm’s commitment to clean products.

In any case, it is always up to each individual to decide if any CBD company is trustworthy. While there have been a few less than positive reviews, it does seem as if a lot of Diamond CBD’s negative activity happened a couple of years ago. Since then, it has expanded and now includes detailed third-party lab reports.

Where Can I Purchase Diamond CBD Products?

Go to the official Diamond CBD website and choose ‘Shop All’ to be greeted with 45 pages of products! It is a MUCH better idea to use the Filter option and browse according to category or brand.

Diamond CBD offers standard shipping for all orders over $100. The brand claims to sell to all 50 states, but in a couple of American states, CBD is still classified as ‘illegal’ at the time of writing. The company offers free returns on unopened items as long as you return them within 15 days. It does not offer this feature for vaping products, so be wary.

Final Thoughts on Diamond CBD

In the last review, we wrote that if Diamond CBD included detailed lab reports, it could become one of its finest CBD brands on the market. The company has clearly taken this advice on board and offers a startling level of lab testing reports. You will find it almost impossible NOT to find what you need on the site because there is so much to see.

It can become confusing if you don’t know what to look for but persevere and you should be happy with what you find.

It does seem as if Diamond CBD has become more reputable, and as more users give them the benefit of the doubt, it may be fine for you to do so as well. While the CBD isn’t the cheapest around, it has worked for tens of thousands of users to date, and there are ample products to choose from.

Final Verdict – 8.5/10
